Subject: School Leadership Transition

Families of Henry Ford Academy: Alameda School for Art + Design:

I am writing to you to share news of a change in our school leadership for the upcoming school year. Mr. Boggs is stepping down as principal of Henry Ford Academy: Alameda School for Art + Design. His last day with us is May 12, 2014. We thank Mr. Boggs for his work and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Steps are being developed to identify a new principal, and we will share information when it becomes available.

Everyone at HFA: Alameda School remains focused on preparing our students for college and careers with a rigorous academic program that is strengthened through developing skills and talents in art and design. That promise to you and your student is at the center of our work every day and will continue to guide our efforts throughout the remainder of this school year and into the years to come. We are inspired by the abilities of our students and passionate about preparing them to seize life-changing opportunities.

There are many important events and exciting milestones to look forward to during the remainder of this school year, including:

* Night of the Arts – May 30, 2014

* End of the Year Award Ceremony/Junior Pinning – June 6, 2014

* 2014 Commencement Ceremony – June 17, 2014

Please talk with your child about the importance and the responsibility of finishing the school year strong. If you have questions about our principal transition, please contact me by email (jsanchez@thealamedaschool.org) or by phone (210-226-4031).

Sincerely,

Jessica Rae Sanchez
Acting Superintendent
