HFLI's Innovation Springboard Jump Start is a fun and engaging 2-day experience for all San Antonio-area students ages 14-19. Are you a recent Henry Ford Academy: Alameda School for Art + Design graduate? You can participate, too!

Innovation Springboard Jump Start takes Design Thinking to a new and exciting level. Design Thinking is a creative problem-solving approach that enables young people to build skills for innovating, including the ability to think creatively, work collaboratively with others, and implement innovations. You will have authentic, hands-on experiences that will help you develop your creative ideas and show you how you can use them to bring about change. Then, you will learn about how entrepreneurship skills can turn these ideas and prototypes into a reality with the help of real entrepreneurs and mentors.

Innovation Springboard Jump Start will be held on August 20 and 21 from 8:30am-5:30pm each day at Henry Ford Academy: Alameda School for Art + Design. A celebratory movie night with a screening of "Meet the Robinsons" will be held on August 21st and is free to all registered participants.

The registration cost of this workshop is $10, which will be refunded to you upon completion of the workshop on August 21. We will provide all materials, meals and snacks throughout the workshop, as well.

PLEASE NOTE: Additional permission forms will be required once registration is completed.

Everyone at HFA: Alameda School remains focused on preparing our students for college and careers with a rigorous academic program that is strengthened through developing skills and talents in art and design. That promise to you and your student is at the center of our work every day and will continue to guide our efforts throughout the remainder of this school year and into the years to come. We are inspired by the abilities of our students and passionate about preparing them to seize life-changing opportunities.
