Henry Ford Learning Institute (HFLI) is a non-profit organization that was launched in 2003 as a partnership between Ford Motor Company and The Henry Ford to share what has been learned at the original Henry Ford Academy in Dearborn, Mich. To fulfill that goal, HFLI that creates innovative small schools and hands-on learning programs. During the 2014-2015 school year, HFLI and its partners are providing nearly 2,100 students in grades K-12 with a quality educational experience at four Henry Ford Academies (San Antonio, Detroit, Chicago, and Dearborn), and what is thought to be America's only K-12 curriculum where learning centers around design challenges that bring students together and engage them in the process of developing a solution to a real-world question.
